  • Peru Mahi Alliance comparti\u00f3 los avances del FIP Perico en eventos clave de Boston y M\u00e9xico.<\/b><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    La pesquer\u00eda de perico en el Per\u00fa da pasos firmes hacia la sostenibilidad. Seg\u00fan la auditor\u00eda m\u00e1s reciente, el Proyecto de Mejoramiento Pesquero (FIP) impulsado por Per\u00fa Mahi Alliance (PMA) alcanz\u00f3 un 61% de cumplimiento del est\u00e1ndar del Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), un avance significativo frente al 45% registrado en 2021. Esta mejora refleja el esfuerzo del sector exportador por adoptar pr\u00e1cticas m\u00e1s responsables y basadas en evidencia cient\u00edfica.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Los resultados fueron presentados por Francisco V\u00eda, presidente de PMA, en dos espacios internacionales clave. El 17 de marzo, durante la feria <\/span>Boston Seafood Expo North America 2025<\/span>, PMA organiz\u00f3 el evento \u201cFIP Perico: Avances tras su evaluaci\u00f3n\u201d, donde se destacaron las principales iniciativas implementadas junto a IMARPE, PRODUCE y otras instituciones: el Programa de Observadores a Bordo, el uso de bit\u00e1coras en embarcaciones artesanales, la donaci\u00f3n de muestras biol\u00f3gicas y las capacitaciones en liberaci\u00f3n y manipulaci\u00f3n de especies que interact\u00faan en la pesquer\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Asimismo, en el Taller de la Comunidad de Pr\u00e1ctica de FIPs de Latinoam\u00e9rica y el Caribe, realizado en M\u00e9rida, M\u00e9xico, PMA fue invitado como caso de \u00e9xito. En la sesi\u00f3n \u201cLos FIP como herramienta de mercado\u201d, V\u00eda comparti\u00f3 la experiencia del perico peruano y la importancia de contar con incentivos desde los mercados internacionales para sostener estos esfuerzos.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Estos espacios permitieron visibilizar el progreso del FIP Perico y consolidan a PMA como un referente regional en sostenibilidad pesquera, demostrando que la colaboraci\u00f3n entre industria, Estado y ciencia es clave para el futuro del recurso.<\/span><\/p>\n
